The lab works much the same way it does with your medical doctor. When your doctor feels you need additional testing either blood work or imaging he sends you a lab which performs the indicated tests and then sends a report. ODlabs does the same thing, just the test are specific to your eye. Your doctor will give you a prescritption for specific tests which ODlabs will perform and will then send the results back to him. Your doctor will then call you with the results or ask for you to return to discuss them with you. Our lab participates in virtually all insurance plans and will bill your plan. You may be required to pay a copay or pay for your deductible if you have not met that deductible amount.
